Fast CAT – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. It’s over before you know it — and it’s nothing short of awe-inspiring to watch your dog run at top speed, ears back, eyes focused, legs strong. Open to all breeds of dogs (9 months or older), this test involves your dog performing a series of 12 exercises that are typical for a farm environment such as being in close proximity to livestock (who are always penned to avoid any altercations), jumping and staying on hay/straw bales and walking on unusual terrain. Limited to 40 dogs. Pre-registration fee is $35, Day of test walk-up is $45 (if space is available - contact us day of before hand to check!)

Working Certificate test offered by Mid Jersey Labrador Club follows the regulations set by The Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. In addition, MJLRC has designed one advanced level test aimed at demonstrating the dog’s progress towards the skills required for Senior Hunter level (Working Certificate Intermediate, WCI) WCI is not a title recognized by the LRC.
